ComfortDelGro overhauls taxi fare structure

See .... u guys kao peh taxi expensive , shift to MRT and buses , right ?
Then The Goverment had achieved their objective .
Money is the root to all evil . -
But i think , i will suffer for about 2 weeks , cos when every price change , there'll be a transition period , or to be blunt , Singaporean " tooth pain " , pain for only 2 weeks , after the pain is gone , they'll be back .
Cos Singaporean is a pampered lot .
Trust me .... Uncle me been through all those s-h-i-t . -
From what happened today .... i can only summed up ....
Cabby's still have the power !!!!
Not rule , but good enough to make the situation change .
When we are nice , Comfort don't listen .
When we start to play punk , complaints came in , then they surrender .
I told some of my counterparts , if we don't get what we want , we will s-h-i-t everywhere , and Comfort / LTA will clear those dungs for us .
In this case , i would say , cabby won first round !
Not a single of my colleague not smiling , everyone is smiling today . -

Before 12am , got $3 extra , after 12am got 50% , why hide .
Trust me , no hiding reuqired , only scare commuters hide .

It's ... well , win-win for Comfort driver , cos from my perspective , it's either ...
1. Take a customer within CBD taxi stand . extra $3
2. Take an " ON CALL " booking outside CBD , extra $3.50 .
Play whichever game , i still will earn extra .
But i can guarantee , within CBD , there'll be less booking .
Who would want to pay $2.80 + $3 + $3.50 ?????? -

If Comfort and CityCab rules , we lan lan , pay the higher rental , not now !

Whatever happened, the company will make $$$.
The taxi drivers were used as a pawn to increase the price.
The rental will increase eventually.
The blue brothers will start 1st, followed by the yellow, red and grey.
So, moving around to another place will still make you another slave.
The poodles have led by example, and the peasants will follow.
All become greedy and no more golden egg. -
Ok la, to say a fair word for this new fare structure, Singapore's taxi fare is really cheap compared to other equally developed countries like UK, HK, USA, etc..CD just trying to differentiate taxi's more 'premium' service compared to bus or MRT..
Let's say a group of 4 friends takes bus + mrt from Woodlands to Orchard Road at off-peak hours..Let's say each person has to pay $0.90(bus) + $1.50(MRT) = $2.40..total cost for 4 person is $9.60..
Might as well take cab if the total cab fare from Woodlands to Orchard is about $12? Just $0.60 more for each person and it brings you to your desired destination.
But this only applies for large group of friends or family.. -
But lugi for individuals who are rushing for time.

good news. that means more taxi will be avail on the street, and for ppl who are really rushing for time, urgent, i dun tink they will mind the increase (if they are rushing for time).
else everytime wan call cab have to wait wait wait like mad.
i oni hope all this rises will be compensated to cabby, not the company.
being a cabby is very very difficult. if any1 doubt me, then please, quit ur current job and go be a cabby driver. i like to see how long u can tahan. no off, mc still must pay hire fee, cannot get sick, lunch time must eat chop chop.
weekend must work, and must stand the arrogant attitude of sume baste*d cust.

If they are ready to pick customers , then roof-top has to indicate TAXI -

That customer Nigerian , i helped him go Paya Lebar Police Station make police report , cos he got robbed near Short street next to Sim Lim area !
No money pay me , i did extra mile sent him back to the Hotel at Geylang - Absolutely free of charge .
He's too nice , humble , cool ! Nice people deserve to be treated nicely . He definitely deserve to be treated nicely by me .

they should decrease rental and not add onto the commuter's burden... No one would ride in a cab if this continue and all the cab driver will need financial assistance instead...

Let's do some math , simple math .
Decrease just $1 per cab , per day . Just $1 ....
I count as 20,000 taxis , easy to count .
$1 per day x 20,000 = $20,000 per day they lose .
Per week 7 days : $140,000 they lose
Per month 30 days : $4.2 million they lose each month !!!
Hello friend , u see for urself , if u're the CEO of ComfortDelgro , will u do that to a Public Listed Company ??? Losing $4.2 million in a month , ok , not losing , making less $4.2 million ???

My suggestion : If u think taking a taxi is a burden , then please don't take , Taxi drivers can felt ur burden . They have burden too ...
