riding a ta200... v power had more power but vibrates more then mobil... difference in power not too great compare to other oil... so decide to switchOriginally posted by chaicka:You on TA150 or TA200?
I switched from Mobil 8000 to Shell V-Power, for my TA200. My bro riding TA150.
What do u mean by vibrates? Mine dun leh...I have fine-tune it until now super smooth. Try adding some GearUp to the engine oil, it makes a big diff. One bottle oni 9.90 sold at D.I.Y. shop.Originally posted by chong chong:riding a ta200... v power had more power but vibrates more then mobil... difference in power not too great compare to other oil... so decide to switch
hum.. how to fine tune?? thought of using gearup too. but then when u add it?? when you are goin to change oil or after? how about motor up?? any comment? change gear also sometime v stiff. how to deal with it?Originally posted by chaicka:What do u mean by vibrates? Dun add too much, for me, my engine oil is 1.2l and GearUp is 3 cap-full.
Fine tuning? Well, u can adjust the air-intake, and petrol-intake lor. Of coz still got others to fine tune too, but these should be the main.Originally posted by chong chong:hum.. how to fine tune?? thought of using gearup too. but then when u add it?? when you are goin to change oil or after? how about motor up?? any comment? change gear also sometime v stiff. how to deal with it?
ok... u got icq?? next time got problem then ask u again.... recently got cases like when i reducing speed the exhaust will product a loud bang... sounds shiok but then may be a sign of problem... regarding the fine tuning.. guess i have to go to the shop to do it.... my motorshop always tell me dont need to do this dont need to do that, all is in the mind... the mind say the bike is sick, actually not, then everytime say its your bike, sure u know the difference when you ride... hai... but the gd think is they never ask me to buy anything from them..Originally posted by chaicka:Fine tuning? GearUp, I add it whenever I change engine oil. So a bottle of GearUp at $9.90 can last quite a long time. Ratio is 1.2 litre of engine oil (using Shell Advance Ultra 4) with 3 cap-full of GearUp.
It does smooth up gear shift. Juz dun add too much.
got big bang means problem lah, for phantom coz it should not be happening. I cannot remember what's the cause. Something to do with comburstion outside the block....Originally posted by chong chong:ok... u got icq?? next time got problem then ask u again.... recently got cases like when i reducing speed the exhaust will product a loud bang... sounds shiok but then may be a sign of problem... regarding the fine tuning.. guess i have to go to the shop to do it.... my motorshop always tell me dont need to do this dont need to do that, all is in the mind... the mind say the bike is sick, actually not, then everytime say its your bike, sure u know the difference when you ride... hai... but the gd think is they never ask me to buy anything from them..![]()
hum tried the motor up liao... but then when i go to the shop, the sales say gear up not much of the difference for new bike so recomend me the 40 bucks one for the engine (free motorup for petrol). add as u mention (so little for so much difference) and the bike really smooth when riding esp when changing gear. thks man.. however, the vibration still there but then not as much as b4.Originally posted by chaicka:got big bang means problem lah, for phantom coz it should not be happening. of course.. TA200 is 4 stroke so no 2t needed...... save a lot on petrol...Originally posted by Adam&Eve:Phantom 200 dun need 2T ride?
Then I heard ppl said put 4T. what is 4 T use for? for 4 stroke bike?Originally posted by chong chong:of course.. TA200 is 4 stroke so no 2t needed...... save a lot on petrol...
4T is very important for 4 strokers as it performs many functions likeOriginally posted by acoolboy7:4T is gear oil for use in 2 stroke and 4 stroke bikes. it is more commonly refered as "or you". when gears are getting stiff, then it's time to change 4T.
