always thought that vpower is best for my phantom. after viewing other experts view on the forums, decide to heal their advice and switch to mobil 8000. really cool cos the vibration is not as much and the power is only about 5-10% difference compare to vpower. as for the cost of cos cheaper lah.... THANKS GUYS!! -

Hey guys wif Phatom 150/200, maybe we can exchange some pointers here. I am really interested to boost the performance and stablity of it.
Original components used on the bike itself is not that good. Want to know what parts to change for better performance, while maintaining stability and of coz, must be able to pass inspection.
Here is what I found out (Phantom 200):
Using pure V-Power, the pick-up and high speed performance are better, esp. at around 110km/h and above...
Using pure Shell Advance Ultra 4, performance drop slightly at low speed, however, at high speed, it is much smoother in acceleration. Using a portion mix of Shell Advance Ultra 4 1.2l and GearUp (3 cap full), transmission is smoother, low speed acceleration is better.
Out from factory, the choke seems to have problem, causing jerky acceleration and deceleration. Idling has to tune up, after adjusting the choke (air-intake) too.
Anyone has a good workshop wif good mechanics who really know how to tune bike, no matter how low-class Phantom is? My workshop mechanics not that good, can oni do normal service. They noe nuts on real racing and fine-tuning bikes. -

I switched from Mobil 8000 to Shell V-Power, for my TA200. My bro riding TA150. -

What do u mean by vibrates? Mine dun leh...I have fine-tune it until now super smooth. Try adding some GearUp to the engine oil, it makes a big diff. Dun add too much, for me, my engine oil is 1.2l and GearUp is 3 cap-full. -

GearUp, I add it whenever I change engine oil. So a bottle of GearUp at $9.90 can last quite a long time. Ratio is 1.2 litre of engine oil (using Shell Advance Ultra 4) with 3 cap-full of GearUp.
It does smooth up gear shift. Juz dun add too much. -
ok... u got icq?? next time got problem then ask u again.... recently got cases like when i reducing speed the exhaust will product a loud bang... sounds shiok but then may be a sign of problem... regarding the fine tuning.. guess i have to go to the shop to do it.... my motorshop always tell me dont need to do this dont need to do that, all is in the mind... the mind say the bike is sick, actually not, then everytime say its your bike, sure u know the difference when you ride... hai... but the gd think is they never ask me to buy anything from them..Originally posted by chaicka:Fine tuning? got big bang means problem lah, for phantom coz it should not be happening. I cannot remember what's the cause. i m also using a broquet fuel catalyst thats juz put into my petrol tank....
erm, i forgot how my engine performs b4 i put that thing so i have not much comments about it. But according to statistics, my TA150 definitely consumes less petrol than other TA150s the other forumnites r riding -

4T is gear oil for use in 2 stroke and 4 stroke bikes. it is more commonly refered as "or you". when gears are getting stiff, then it's time to change 4T.

lubricating, cooling, etc
it does not actually burn off like 2T in 2strokers, but i dunno y sumtimes abit amount of 4T wil be gone.....
for 4 strokers, it is encouraged to use gd quality ones as it will affect ur engine performance....
whereas for 2 strokers, it doesn affect the performance at all, only the gear box......but must use gd 2T lar....
